“I’m so Blessed” by Cain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4exKwB0WRk&list=RDQ4exKwB0WRk&start_radio=1, helped when I had a serious undiagnosed medical condition. I would sing and forget about my trouble. My friend Kayla recommended it to me, as it helped her through some hard days as well. Remembering God’s promises through music makes a difference.
♫♪♫ Trouble knocking at my door today. I ain’t gonna let it in and worry wanna steal my joy away. But I ain’t gonna let it win. ‘Cause on my best day, I’m a child of God. On my worst day, I’m a child of God. Oh, every day is a good day and You’re the reason why. I’m so blessed, I’m so blessed, got this heartbeat in my chest. No, it doesn’t matter about the rest. If I got You, Lord, I’m so blessed. I’m so blessed Hallelujah, I’m SO blessed ♫♪♫
I’m so blessed, I woke up this morning
I will not let the trouble I am facing steal my joy. Jesus gives us joy that surpasses our circumstances. Remembering that I woke up this morning, my heart is beating, even with arrhythmias & tachycardias. God is with me, I’m so blessed! Any trouble that comes today, the Lord is right beside me.

Jesus told us that trouble is inevitable for all of us as we live life, yet the question is what will you and I do when it comes? Will we worry or will we praise? As a woman, my thoughts can tend to go to anxiety and worry. Then, I remember this won’t help, in fact it may worsen the situation! So, let’s face the trouble that has come with gratitude and praise instead.
I’m so blessed, the Lord hears my prayers
Ladies, the Holy Spirit wants us to rejoice in the Lord, and instead of being anxious & worrying, we are to pray instead. The Lord is near to His children, and He hears our prayers. Paul was in prison when he wrote Phil 4, his perspective matters. He calls on us to rejoice, to pray & give thanks, just like our song, “I’m so Blessed”. Sarah wrote an excellent article about praying in times of deep stress last week https://mustardtrees.com/2025/09/24/down-on-my-knees/
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God – Phil 4:4-6.
When hope is gone, God’s mercy is new, I’m so blessed
♫♪♫And when I count the problems that I see, hope looks all but gone (yeah). But when I count the ways You’re good to me. You got me counting all day long, oh, yeah ♫♪
Jeremiah the prophet, was depressed & full of despair. He had no peace, no happiness, no strength, no hope. He said, “My soul has been excluded from peace; I have forgotten happiness. So I say, “My strength has failed, And so has my hope from the Lord.”” Lam. 3:17-18
Yet, he didn’t stay in this hopeless state, and neither should you and I. Remember what the Lord is doing, and wait on Him. Remember His blessings, so we can say again, “I’m so blessed”. Each new day as the sun rises, remember God’s faithfulness, and praise Him. “I recall this to my mind,
Therefore I wait. The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, for His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Lam. 3:21-23
