Have you considered the birth of Christ from the perspective of the angels? Gabriel was grateful to deliver God’s messages. The name Gabriel means “God is Mighty”, and he proclaimed this as he did God’s will. He had the privilege to go to the young lady that God chose for His Son to be born into our world.
Gabriel greeted Mary as “Favored One” for she certainly was. She would give birth to God in the flesh. Then, he calmed her fears, as I am sure it would be a shock to see one of God’s holy angels. Gabriel told Mary how this amazing miracle would occur, “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High” Luke 1:31-32. Gabriel would have been grateful to hear Mary’s humble response. Gabriel and Mary’s encounter is very thought provoking to me as a mother.
Angels gratefully looked into the things of God
The angels longed to look into the things of God, how the Messiah would come and bring the gospel, and the glory to follow. Please consider, they must have been so grateful when Jesus was born. It was happening, He is here! Are we grateful that God’s salvation came through a little baby born so long ago?
Angels and the Shepherds
Next, we see the angel of the Lord appear to the shepherds outside Bethlehem. Once again, the angel calmed their fears and told them Jesus is born. “Behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11
Finally, a multitude of heavenly angel armies appear to those poor shepherds. The angels praised God, so grateful for Jesus Christ’s birth. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among people with whom He is pleased.” Can you imagine a multitude of the angel armies praising God! That must have been amazing. We can praise God with this enthusiasm and a grateful heart as well. To conclude, let us rejoice in the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ and live with contentment that we can know Him and praise Him.

That is fun to think about how the angels would have thought.
Thank you, Lisa!
It was a new interesting perspective for me as well.
Thanks Lisa for sharing this message with us. Surely, the way angels celebrated & praised Jesus’s birth, we should also praise our Lord in the same manner. Blessings.
You are so right, Rachel, it is inspiring to think about the angels praising over Jesus. We can and should do the same.
